Mosselman Shea Butter Refined - Food Grade (91080-23-8) is the fat obtained from the kernels of the African plant “Butyrospermum parki” and is much more unsaturated than cocoa butter and is correspondingly softer and less brittle. Shea butter has a characteristically high content of unsaponifiables and the iodine and saponification number depend on the amount of unsaponifiable matter present. Sheabutter is mainly used in cosmetics. It is an excellent emollient both for skin and hair.
