- Properties and Applications
AGITAN 155 is a polysiloxane emulsion with excellent stability and defoaming persistency. The defoamer is miscible with water in all ratios. AGITAN 155 is resistant to alkaline environment. It can be used between pH 6 and 11.
Main applications:
- Industrial and wood coatings
- Printing inks
- Adhesives
- Emulsion manufacturing
- Recommended Levels and Use
Ladder studies are recommended to determine optimum level. Normal dosage ranges from 0.05 to 0.5 % on finished product. AGITAN 155 is typically added undiluted during pigment grinding for optimum distribution and de-aeration. For most efficient use 2/3 of AGITAN 155 is added to the pigment dispersion and 1/3 is added to the letdown.
