Properties and Applications

FOAMTROL 105 is a low viscosity silicone compound that is designed to meet specific performance requirements efficiently and economically in industrial applications. It is used in non-aqueous and, in many instances, aqueous products and systems. It is readily pourable and may be used to prepare silicone-based foam preventive emulsions.

Main applications:

  • Adhesive and glue manufacture
  • Latex processing
  • Industrial process aids
  • Lube oil additive
  • Printing inks
  • Soap and detergent manufacture
  • Textile chemicals
Recommended Levels and Use

The properties and performance of a defoamer are greatly dependent upon the specific formulation in which it is utilized and, consequently, should always be tested (possibly at different treatment levels, temperatures, and/or time intervals) to verify performance prior to use. A starting dosage of 10 ppm is recommended.
