- Recommended levels/use
Normal dosage ranges from 0.5 to 2.0 % for calendering auxiliary calculated on solids content of the paper coating. The optimum concentration should be determined in pretests.
- Applications
The product is used in all kinds of pigmented coating colors:
- To improve the printability and dimension stability
- To avoid dusting and picking during the calendering- and printing process
- To optimize the runability of the calender
- To increase the flexibility of the coated top layer and to avoid the brittleness during the manufacturing proces
OMBRELUB CD has no impact on the rheological profile of the coating color. The product has a high whiteness and does not tend to yellowing. In case of very low pHvalues the calcium stearate may decompose.

Storage & Handling
- Storage and Packaging
Open drums should be closed immediately after use in order to avoid drying effects on the surface of the material. For dosage and storage plastic material or stainless steel are suitable. After longer periods of storage the dispersion tends to separate. Therefore it must be stirred well before use. OMBRELUB CD is sensitive to freezing. Therefore it must be stored between 10 to 25° C. The minimum shelf life in closed containers is 9 months from the date of manufacture.
