MWT Materials ME-565

ME-565 broadband electrically conductive isolation coating is a carbon-based paint in a proprietary water based acrylic resin system. It provides broadband RFID area isolation across all RFID frequencies in a thin, easy to apply format. Its durable abrasion resistant finish is stable in hot and cold environments. The product can be applied with a brush, roller or sprayed on. It has excellent UV and fire resistance. This product can be applied to various surfaces including but not limited to sheetrock, wood and metal. ME-565 acts as a ground plane which can be used as an undercoating in conjunction with our MF-500 Urethane MagRAM RF absorbing coating.

Applications
  • Application to sheetrock or other surfaces for isolation of RFID signals from adjacent areas.
  • As an electrically conductive undercoating for a MagRAM RF absorber (like our MF-500 Urethane).
  • Coverage : Nominally 200 ft²/gal (3.8L) using two “average” coats*

* In excess of 5 mils of thickness is required for adequate isolation of RFID signal. The number of coats needed to reach this thickness is dependent on application technique. Each situation will require testing to see if sufficient material has been applied and if the signal is adequately blocked.
