- Benefits
- Proven, functional alternatives to petrolatum and waxes
- For added thermostability, to build viscosity and improve the feel of anhydrous formulations
- Made using a proprietary vegetable gel technology using natural ingredients
- Works as an excellent carrier in CBD oil and hemp oil based formulations
- Canola oil based
- Soft opaque gel
- Equivalent water repellency and TEWL to petrolatum with a less greasy, less tacky feel
- Reduces expensive natural waxes in anhydrous formulations
- Increases melting temperature of anhydrous products, when compared to using petrolatum
- Product Background
Vegelatum® Gels can easily replace petrolatum in existing formulations. Vegelatum looks and performs like petrolatum in a more natural way. TEWL studies performed by an external laboratory showed comparable results between petrolatum, Vegelatum® Clear and Vegelatum® Equiline.

Technical Details & Test Data
- Viscosity Building While Improving Stability
Vegelatum® ingredients are particularly well suited for building viscosity in anhydrous systems, such as lip balms and lipsticks, while increasing the melting point of the formula. Significant cost savings can be realized using Vegelatum® to replace or reduce expensive natural waxes in various formulations.
