Natur-Tec® offers a broad bioplastics portfolio which spans flexible film, rigid injection molded materials, and engineered plastics. Natur-Tec® biopolymer resins are produced using NTIC’s proprietary ReX Process to produce biobased/biodegradable polymer resin formulations that exhibit unique and stable morphology. 


Natur-Tec

Natur-Tec® BF703B is a fully biodegradable/compostable biopolymer resin designed specifically for flexible film applications. Natur-Tec resins are fully certified to the stringent requirements of international standards for compostable plastics, such as ASTM D6400, EN 13432 and ISO 17088, and therefore provide an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional plastics.The Natur-Tec BF703B resin is engineered for high performance and can be easily processed on standard extrusion equipment. Natur-Tec films are strong and tough with excellent heat seal strength, and provide excellent printability. For applications where high barrier properties are required, Natur-Tec films can be easily combined with other substrates in a laminate structure to achieve the desired properties.Applications: Compostable Trash/Garbage Bags Carry-out Bags Agricultural Mulch Film Films for Food Service and Consumer Packaging Heat sealant layer for Laminate Packaging structures.

Natur-Tec® BF703B

Natur-Tec® BF3001J is a 100% biobased and biodegradable polymer resin compound designed to replace conventional plastic materials for extrusion coating applications. Natur-Tec® BF3001J is manufactured using sustainable and renewable resources, per the ASTM D6866 standard, which allows industry and consumers the opportunity to reduce or neutralize their carbon footprint. Natur-Tec® resins are engineered for high performance and can easily be processed on conventional manufacturing equipment while offering energy savings due to much lower processing temperatures. The BF3001J is designed to meet the requirements of international standards for compostable plastics such as ASTM D6400 (U.S.). Natur-Tec® extrusion coating resins provide good adhesion to paper, an excellent print surface and good heat seal strength. This coating material is suitable for food contact applications including both hot and cold applications. Please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet and the Processing Guide for specific handling and processing instructions.Natur-Tec® BF3001J can be used for coating paper and paperboards for the manufacture of disposable cups, plates and other food service ware items.

Natur-Tec® BF3001J

Natur-Tec® BF3002HT is a bio-based and compostable, impact modified, highly filled polymer masterbatch made with Ingeo™. It is intended for injection molded PLA applications that require high heat. BM3002HT is designed to be blended with virgin Ingeo™ grades where the final blend is molded either in (1) a single-step using in-mold crystallization at much reduced cycle times and minimum part warpage (BF3002IM) or (2) in a two-step economical process where parts are crystallized in a secondary oven (BF3002HT) .

Natur-Tec® BF7003 is a range of fully biodegradable and compostable polymer resin compounds designed for film extrusion and use in flexible plastic applications. It is produced using proprietary technologies and is intended to provide alternatives to conventional plastics. Natur-Tec® resins are engineered for high performance and can be easily processed on conventional manufacturing equipment. Natur-Tec® BF700Z meets the requirements of international standards for compostable plastics such as ASTM D6400 (U.S.), EN 13432, ISO 17088 and AS4736. It is certified 100% compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI), TUVAustria, (OK Compost) and Australian Bioplastics Association (ABA). Please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet and the Processing Guide for specific handling and processing instruction.

Natur-Tec® BF5001-X is a biobased and compostable polymer resin compound, designed for extrusion and for use in flexible plastic applications. BF5001-X polymer resin is compostable as per ASTM D6400 and EN 13432 standards. It is produced using proprietary technologies and is intended to provide alternatives to conventional plastics. Natur-Tec® resins are engineered for high performance and can be easily processed on conventional manufacturing equipment.
