Technical Details & Test Data
- Managing Irritated Skin
Skin can become sensitive for many reasons, and any time in life, from babyhood to old age. It occurs when skin’s protective barrier function is compromised, causing skin to become susceptible to external irritants, such as bacteria, chemical substances, allergens or others.
Symptoms can appear on the face, body and scalp, and include redness, scaling and swelling. These can be itchy and disturbing in everyday life and can result in intense physical discomfort.
- Technical Details
In vivo, placebo-controlled, evaluation of the soothing and anti-itch effect of a cosmetic product for topical use on 20 volunteers (Short Term)
The provocation of inflammatory response was induced by histamine solution. Applied on the back and on the forearm of each volunteer. NaturSensitive was applied after histamine´s response induction. Negative control as induced response but no product applied on skin, and 1% Polaramine cream as positive control (1% Dexchlorpheniramine maleate) after response induction.
