Fields of Application

Transparent as well as filled or pigmented PVC paste formulations

Application

NEWOTEC® 010 accelerates the deaeration of PVC pastes, especially in formulations for transparent top coats.

NEWOTEC® 010 has its best effect when it is added to the liquid components of the paste before stirring in the solid ingredients like PVC powder or filler. The incorporation of fine-dispersed air will be reduced considerably during the preparation of the paste. The time of deaeration is also shorter and remaining air bubbles are released much faster.

NEWOTEC® 010 does not significantly affect the heat stability of common PVC paste formulations. Due to its polymeric structure, NEWOTEC® 010 shows extremely low volatility and can be used for low-VOC products.

Use Concentration

0.5 to 1 phr We strongly recommend to carry out own lab tests in order to determine the optimum dosage, especially when more than 1 phr is added.
