Sodium Acetate pharmaceutical grade is used in the preparation of haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis solutions, in the production of insulin and in infusion liquids.

Pharmaceutical grade Calcium Acetate can be used as a phosphate binder to treat Hyperphosphatemia (elevated blood phosphorus levels). Calcium Acetate is available as white powder or agglomerate. These two versions are chemically identical and differ only in physical form. The agglomerate offers the properties on non-dustiness, improved wettability, higher reactivity, higher bulk density, and improved free-flow ability.

Niacet’s pharma acetates, such as sodium diacetate play an important role as a buffer regulating the pH level of the dialysis solution. Sodium Diacetate is available as a free-flowing white crystal, containing approximately equimolar amounts of Sodium Acetate and acetic acid.

Niacet’s acetates, mainly sodium acetate are used in the production of insulin. Additionally, as a constituent in insulin products, sodium acetate acts as an oxidative fuel preventing the body from producing antibodies during insulin injection. Sodium Acetate is available as an agglomerate and a powder (anhydrous) as well as a crystal (trihydrate). Sodium Acetate trihydrate is very soluble in water. Sodium Acetate anhydrous agglomerate offers the properties of non-dustiness, improved wettability, higher reactivity, higher bulk density, and improved free-flow ability.

Anhydrous Hydrogen Chloride (AHCl) is a colorless gas that plays an important role in various technologies and pharmaceutical/chemical industries. The majority of Anhydrous Hydrogen Chloride is used to produce hydrochloric acid, a solution of AHCl in water. Concentrations range from less than 1% up to 38%. The latter is referred to as “concentrated” or “fuming” hydrochloric acid.

Niacet’s Sodium Propionate can be used in veterinary medicinal products such as veterinary antiseptic to protect wounds of horses and dogs. Sodium Propionate is available as a white, non-dusty, free-flowing powder.

Pharmaceutical and very pure grade Potassium Acetate can be used in the manufacture of antibiotics, penicillin, insulin and in haemo- and peritoneal dialysis solutions.

Sodium Diacetate is used in haemodialysis. The product is also used in other applications where it is advantageous to use a solid source of free acetic acid, e. g. For safer handling and reduced transportation costs. Sodium Diacetate is available as a free-flowing white crystal, containing approximately equimolar amounts of Sodium Acetate and acetic acid.

Sodium Phenoxy Acetate (SPA) is most commonly used in the fermentation of Penicillin V. Patent literature also refers to herbicidal carboxylic acid salts of alkylamines, synthesis of insect repellents, esters of cortical hormones and cation exchange resins. Sodium Phenoxy Acetate (SPA) is available as an off-white powder.
