    Properties / Applications

In combination with other polyols such as Nivapol Polem A 1145, 1155 and crosslinked with MDI, Nivapol Polem A 1165 is suitable for use in thin coatings and top-layers. Its high hydroxyl content makes it easy to use with MDI Prepolymers which results in hard wear- and chemical-resistant coatings with an approximated Shore D 80. Because of its low viscosity Polem A 1165 is very easy to deair which makes it suitable for clear Topcoats also. These are mainly used on concrete and asphalt floors and steel surfaces.

    Storage & Handling

    Solubility / Thinnability

Generally speaking, Nivapol Polem A 1165 has good compatibility with the solvents listed. However, the solutions have to be tested for their storage stability. Nivapol Polem A 1165 can be thinned with esters, ketones, ether esters and aromatic hydrocarbons. Prolonged storage of a solution with low binder content may result in turbidity and sedimentation. Only PUR grade solvents should be used (< 0.05% water). The solvent should not contain reactive groups.

    Storage

When stored in originally sealed containers the product will remain stable for at least 6 months.
