- How It Works
Sparkl-Seal 350 provides a tough, hard, non-yellowing film for exterior applications. The beauty of all treated surfaces is enhanced by producing a “wet look” appearance with a high gloss sheen.
- Applications
- Use to seal, waterproof and protect all types of horizontal and vertical surfaces.
- Ideal for beautifying and protecting stamped concrete, acid stained concrete, integrally colored concrete, exposed aggregate and cementitious overlays.
- Use as an anti-graffiti coating to protect concrete surfaces from most aerosol spray paints.
- In some decorative concrete applications, Sparkl-Seal 350 can also be used as both a cure and seal.

- Request current product literature, labels and safety data sheets from manufacturer and read thoroughly before product use.
- Site environmental conditions, substrate conditions and concrete mix design have a major effect on product selection, application methods, procedures and rates, appearance and performance. Product literature provides general information applicable to some conditions. However, an adequate production test application by the purchaser or installer in advance of field scale use is mandatory (irrespective of any other verbal or written representations) to verify that product and quantities purchased can be satisfactorily applied and will achieve desired appearance and performance under intended use conditions.
- Remove existing sealers with Nox-Crete’s DECO-STRIP or DECO-PEEL and allow to dry a minimum of 48 hours prior to application of Sparkl-Seal 350.
- Product can be applied with an airless sprayer, handpump tank sprayer, roller applicator or brush. Use a .017 or .019 spray tip for airless spray application. Use an 8006 LP spray nozzle for application with a handpump, low pressure sprayer. For roller application, use a roller applicator equipped with a 3/8 (10mm) nap cover.
- Do not thin or dilute.
- Application rates vary with substrate conditions. Suggested application rate for sealing is 300 sf/gal (7.4 sm/L) per application. Best results are obtained when only one or two light coats are applied.
- Once the first coat has dried, a second coat can be applied. Apply second coat at right angle to the first coat.
- Maintenance
- Wipe up all chemical, solvent or petroleum spills as soon as possible.
- Remove dirt and debris by sweeping.
- Wash periodically with low pressure water and scrub brush to help maintain surface luster.
- Clean damaged coating areas promptly and recoat.

Safety & Health
- Precautions
- Due to the extremely low flash point, Sparkl-Seal 350 is only recommended for exterior applications and is NOT recommended for interior or enclosed applications.
- Acid-stained concrete must be cleaned of all salt deposits and neutralized before applying Sparkl-Seal 350. Using a stiff bristle scrub brush, wash the floor with a sodium hydroxide solution, thoroughly rinse with water and allow to dry. Use litmus paper to verify that the floor has a pH greater than 7 before applying Sparkl-Seal 350.
- Do not apply where excessive moisture could contact the underside of applied Sparkl-Seal 350.
- Do not use on concrete surfaces with inadequately drained subgrade or on treated surfaces to be covered with concrete or plaster.
- Sealer delamination (blistering) may occur if applied to fresh concrete prior to allowing all surface bleed water to fully evaporate. A moisture saturated subgrade or a moisture barrier placed beneath the concrete slab may also increase the risk of sealer delamination.
- Do not use with other floor sealers, treatments, bondbreakers or adhesives without prior site test to determine compatibility and adhesion.
- Any variations in concrete surface density may be highlighted by surface mottling after product application. Perform a test application to verify performance and appearance acceptability.
- Do not use around sparks or open flame. Provide adequate ventilation.
- Sealed surfaces may become slippery when wet with water or other liquids.
- May damage vegetation or painted surfaces with contact.
- Exterior sealed surfaces will slowly oxidize in time, eventually necessitating reapplication.
- Not recommended for application to frozen concrete surfaces or when ambient or substrate temperatures are below 40° F (4° C) and/or if ambient temperature is expected to drop below 40 F (4° C) within 12 hours following application.
- Best results are obtained when Sparkl-Seal 350 is applied during the morning or evening hours and not in the direct sunlight. Application of Sparkl-Seal 350 in direct sunlight or under extremely hot and/or windy conditions can result in bubbling or blistering.
- Avoid over-application. Apply in one or two light coats. Over application may interfere with moisture vapor transmission properties which can lead to sealer blistering and delamination.
- Due to the more restrictive air quality regulations written by certain VOC management districts regulating the use of architectural coatings, this product may be prohibited from use as a concrete sealer, but still permissible for the use as a concrete curing compound.

Storage & Handling
- Storage & Shelf Life
- Shelf life is two years. Use before the “USE BY” date stated on product packaging.
- Store in a dry location within a temperature range between 40° F (4° C) and 100° F (38° C).
