- How to Use
Apply to soil after tilling or turning. Work in with garden rake. Then plant seeds or plants. If The Right Stuff® is your only fertilizer, apply 3-4 times during growing season. Or use for initial plantings, then follow with regular applications of Ocean Organics® other fine fertilizers.
- Lawns: Use 10 lbs per 1,000 sq ft (5 kg per 100 sq m) 4 times per season.
- Gardens: For small areas: Use 1 lb. per 100 sq ft (One pound of product is roughly 3 cups.) For larger areas: Use 10 lbs per 1,000 sq ft (5 kg per 100 sq m) early in the season. Can be reapplied by broadcasting or sprinkling around plants where gardens are already established.
- Citrus, Pine and Other Trees: Use 1 cup per inch diameter of trunk. Sprinkle around tree inside drip line starting at least 1 ft from trunk and work gently into soil, or auger 4-6 in deep holes at 1 ft intervals and fill.
- As a Compost Builder: Add 2-4 lbs per cubic yard while adding waste, leaves or clippings.
- Roses: Use 1/2 cup in bottom of hole for new bushes. Mix with existing soil in base of hole. For established plants: use 1 cup per average size bush in early Spring. Sprinkle liberally around base of plants and work into soil. Follow with Grand Prize® fertilizer in the spring and summer.
