Zinc Chloride is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. If the product is spilled, comply with Federal, State and local regulations on reporting spills. Refer to Old Bridge Chemicals’ Material Safety Sheet for further details.
- Safe Handling
The product is acidic and causes severe eye irritation. It may be irritating to the skin and may cause sensitization reactions in certain individuals. Contact with eyes and skin should be avoided through the use of safety goggles and rubber gloves. In case of eye contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for 15 minutes and call a physician. Contaminated clothing should be thoroughly washed before reuse. Refer to Old Bridge Material Safety Data Sheet entitled "Zinc Chloride."

Material can be supplied in tank cars, tank trucks, 275-gallon non-returnable IBC totes and 55-gallon non-returnable drums.
Storage & Handling
- Storage
Zinc Chloride drums should be stored with the bung at the top to minimize leakage. Both drums and totes should not be emptied by air pressure. Heated storage may be necessary to avoid freezing.
