Surface Preparation
For best results steel should be return bead blasted to SA2 ½. If this is impractical the substrate should be mechanically abraded to ensure that all loose rust, scale, etc, is removed.
Mixing and Application
EUROPRIME FM is applied to the substrate by brush or roller at an average rate of 6-10m2 /liter ensuring total coverage. EUROPRIME FM must be allowed to cure to a tack-free finish. This will take approximately six hours at 20°C. In order to optimize inter-coat adhesion, EUROPRIME FM must not be allowed to cure longer than 24 hours prior to overcoating. If this time is exceeded, light abrasion and a second primer application will be required.
Storage & Handling
- Cleaning
Tools can be cleaned with OPTUS SAFE SOLVENT or a hydrocarbon solvent such as xylene.
