Optus invests heavily in research and testing to ensure products are at the forefront of technological design and performance. Optus systems are used in a wide variety of commercial, industrial, marine and domestic applications.

Optus Resin Bound and Resin Bonded systems are at the leading edge of technology for decorative paving and surfacing. Our resin bound systems can also be used as part of a SUDS surfacing scheme whilst our resin bonded systems are ideal for decorative surfacing combining excellent anti-skid properties with an esthetically pleasing finish. Resin Bound and Resin Bonded products are based on epoxy and polyurethane resins to provide high performance and UV light stability.
Our decorative surfacing and paving products are widely used externally on private drives, in paths, around pools and for pedestrian and lightly trafficked areas. These systems are both functional and decorative; improving the appearance and function of existing surfaces.


Optus High Friction Anti-Skid systems are used in Marine environments on Linkspans, RoRo, PCTC, Ropax vessels, ferry decks and ramps, on highways, vehicle ramps, car parks, bridges, station platforms and a multitude of other applications where high performance is key.
Anti-skid surfaces on Roll on Roll off (RORO) ferries, Pure Car Carriers (PCC) and Pure Car Truck (PCCT) vessels have particular requirements for rapid application, high strength and corrosion protection all of which are provided by the Optus Eurogrip systems.

Optus industrial floor systems are mostly solvent free and environmentally friendly. They include roller applied coatings, self smoothing coatings and screeds. Some are formulated to cure at low temperatures suitable for food preparation or for specific areas of manufacturing.

Optiseal

An anti-slip system suitable for use on roads, bridges, multistorey car parks, airports, boat decks and in many other areas where a heavy duty solution is called for. Eurogrip can be applied to concrete, asphalt, steel or timber. It is a fast curing, 3 component anti-slip system that is suitable for aggregate sizes ranging from 0.5 to 3mm. Eurogrip is applied with a notched squeegee following which high friction grit/aggregate is broadcast onto the surface. Optus will advise on aggregate size, type and supplier.

Optus Trawlerdek is a heavy duty screed system for marine and offshore applications. This solvent free epoxy resin weatherdeck screed was specifically developed for workboat and navy applications. It is durable, resistant to abrasion and will withstand heavy loads. It is supplied in 3 components, trowel applied.

EUROPRIME FM is a single component moisture curing polyurethane primer for priming of mild steel. Brush or roller applied Europrime FM dries quickly to provide an ideal substrate for subsequent applications of polyurethane materials.

Resicote WB is a water based epoxy resin floor coating. It is used generally as a hard, durable, abrasion resistance floor seal and coating particularly in areas where a high chemical resistance is required. It is supplied in a full range of colors and with a gloss finish. Resicote WB is a 2 component system applied in 2 or 3 coats to a prepared concrete substrate.

Resiflow FC is a two component self smoothing flooring system. This smooth, gloss, resin flooring is highly abrasion and chemical resistant. It is used generally in manufacturing and commercial premises where a good quality surface is required. It is laid at a thickness of between 0.5 and 1.5mm.

Eurogrip 3000 is a high friction overlay designed to improve the frictional characteristics of a surface. A coat and scatter system, Eurogrip 3000 works by bonding high friction grit to concrete, bitmac, timber or metal using an adhesive slurry. This slurry is formulated from a polyurethane resin that adheres tenaciously to both grit and substrate.

Eurogrip 4500 is a high build coating that combines tough, flexible polyurethane resins with highly abrasion resistant aggregate. It has been specially formulated to accept a surface dressing of up to 5mm stone and to cure very quickly keeping disruption to the minimum and enabling a road or ramp to be returned to full use in about 3 hours depending on temperature. It also cures at low temperatures, adheres tenaciously to substrates.

Resiflow SL is a three component self smoothing flooring system. This smooth gloss resin flooring is highly abrasion and chemical resistant. It is used generally in manufacturing and commercial premises where a good quality surface is required. It is laid at a thickness of about 2mm.

Eurogrip STS is a high friction ‘coat and scatter’ for used Ro-Ro ferry link spans and similar. It comprises a heavy duty polyurethane adhesive slurry with a surface scatter of high friction aggregate. This highly effective extra heavy duty surface is suitable for use by all types of vehicle and ‘tractor’. Suitable for use with 3-5 mm size high friction aggregate.

Eurogrip Marine is for use in marine and maritime applications. It comprises a heavy duty polyurethane adhesive slurry onto which high friction aggregate is scattered. This highly effective heavy duty surface is suitable for use on all types of vessel. It is used with 1-3mm size high friction aggregate.
