Difference between brown and golden linseed:
The main differences between linseed flour made from golden and brown linseed, respectively, are their fattyacidprofile and swelling properties. Golden linseed flour contains more linoleic acid (omega-6 fatty acid) andless alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3 fatty acid) than linseed flour made from brown linseed. It also has betterswelling properties.
