May be harmful if swallowed. Harmful in contact with skin. Causes mild skin irritation and may cause an allergic skin reaction. Albendazole and levamisole HCl may possibly cause damage to genetic material. Albendazole may possibly affect development and levamisole HCl may possibly affect the blood and haematopoietic system

Product Highlights

BOVAID® COMBINATION DRENCH FOR CATTLE is a combination anthelmintic containing a member of both benzimidazole (white) and imidazothiazole (clear) drench families. It is effective against parasites sensitive to one or both of these families.For the control of sensitive mature and immature Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostronglus, Nematodirus, Cooperia, Trongyloides, Bunostomum, Oesophagostomum, Chabertia and Trichuris that may be resistant to benzimazole or levamisole. Also for the control of tapeworm, lungworm and adult liver fluke in cattle. Resistance can develop to any anthelmintic. Ask your local veterinary practitioner or animal health adviser for recommended parasite management practices for your area to reduce development of resistance. It is advisable that a resistance test be conducted regularly when using any parasite treatment.

It is an offense for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds. MEAT: Animals producing meat or offal for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter during or within 14 days of cessation of last treatment. MILK: Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for not less than 35 days following the last treatment.

Directions For Use

By law the user must take due care, obtaining expert advice when necessary, to avoid unnecessary pain and distress when using the product other than as directed on the label.

Drafts animals into lines of similar bodyweight. A representative sample of animals should be weighed before treatment. Dose rate to be based on the heaviest animal in each group. Do not under dose. Where there is a large variation in size within the group, dose rate should be based on the label directions for each weight range. Drafting into two or more lines may be appropriate, to avoid excessive overdosing. Correct drenching techniques should be used. Check the accuracy of drench guns regularly.

Dose cattle orally at 10mg/kg Albendazole and 7.5mg/kg Levamsiole HCI using 1ml/10kg live weight.

DOSES of 3 OR MORE TIMES RECOMMENDED DOSE CAN CAUSE SYMPTOMS of LEVAMISOLE TOXICITY, SO ESTIMATE LIVEWEIGHTS CAREFULLY. DEHYDRATED ANIMALS MAY BE MORE SUSCEPITIBLE TO TOXICITY. FATAL INTERACTIONS MAY OCCUR BETWEEN LEVAMISOLE AND ORGANOPHOSPHATE DIPS.
