Exclude non-essential people from the area. Wear protective clothing and prevent material from entering waterways. Absorb spill with inert material such as soil, sand, etc, and place in a waste container. Wash area with water, and absorb with further inert material. Dispose of safely to a suitable landfill.

Directions For Use

Apply when the cereal crop is at the 4 leaf stage. Apply Legend from late autumn to early winter in ryegrass seed crops when the grass is at least at the 4 - 6 leaf stage of growth. Do not apply after the cereal and ryegrass seed crops have reached the ‘jointing’ or ‘node’ stage. Best results are obtained when the weeds are actively growing and not under stress. For consistent results, water volumes should not be less than 150 liters per hectare. Do not exceed the recommended application rate. Do not overlap or “spray out” corners when spraying. Do not apply to crops undersown with clovers or to any cereal crop from which the straw may be required for horticultural mulching.

Situations For Use
WEED TABLE CROP RATE PER HECTARE CRITICAL COMMENTS
Annual nettle, black nightshade, mouse eared chickweed, catchfly, cornbind, docks, fathen, hedge mustard, mallow spp, redroot, spurrey, shepherd’s purse, thistles (nodding, scotch, sow, winged and californian thistle regrowth from rootchips), twincress, wireweed Wheat, Barley, Oats, Ryegrass Seed Crops 3.0 – 3.5 liters per hectare using 150- 200 liters of water. Apply to seedling weeds. Use the higher rate when weeds are at the 6 to 8 true leaf stage.
Chamomiles, cleavers, fumitory, scrambling speedwell, stinking mayweed, water pepper, yarrow   3.5 – 4.0 liters per hectare using 150- 200 liters of water Apply to seedling weeds. Use the higher rate when weeds are at or over the 6 true leaf stage. Use 4.0 liters per hectare for chamomiles, stinking mayweed, water pepper and yarrow.

Mixing

Add the required quantity of Legend to spray tank partly filled with water and maintain agitation throughout filling and spraying. The use of additional wetting agent is not recommended.

Rainfall

Do not spray if rain is expected within 6 hours of spraying, however 12 hours drying time is preferable.

Resistance Management

GROUP O1 HERBICIDE

GROUP O2 HERBICIDE

Legend contains mecoprop and MCPA, group O1 herbicides belonging to the phenoxy chemical family, and dicamba, a group O2 herbicide belonging to the benzoic acid chemical family. Some naturally occurring weeds may become resistant when excessive use of the same herbicide occurs. To prevent or delay the development of resistance, use in tank mixes and/or rotate use with herbicides with a different mode of action. Consult http://resistance.nzpps.org/index.php for alternative modes of action and details of resistance management strategies (if any) for the crops listed on the label.
