Product Information

A systemic fungicide for disease control in WHEAT, BARLEY and RYEGRASS SEED CROPS.

Active Ingredient: 250 g/liter prothioconazole in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate.

General Information

Pilot is a systemic DMI fungicide for the control of a number of diseases in wheat and barley, and rusts and blind seed disease in ryegrass seed crops. It is an offense to use this product on animals.

Applications & Uses

Application Technique
Spillage

Exclude non-essential people from the area. Avoid entering confined spaces. Wear protective clothing and prevent material from entering waterways. Absorb spill with inert material such as soil, sand, etc, and place in a waste container. Wash area with water and detergent, and absorb with further inert material. Dispose of safely to a suitable landfill.

Ryegrass Seed Crops Blind Seed Disease, Crown Rust, Stem Rust 400 – 800 mL / ha Apply at first signs of disease. Should disease pressure persist or reinfection occur, a further application may be required 3 - 4 weeks later.

Note: Do NOT apply at more than 800 mL / ha. Do NOT apply onto the same application area more than 3 times per year.

Application Methods

Ground Application: Apply in a minimum of 200 L / ha of water. Aerial Application: Apply in a minimum of 50 L / ha of water. Use high water volumes in dense or advanced crops, especially under dry weather conditions.

Mixing

Partly fill the spray tank with water, and add the required quantity of Pilot. Maintain agitation through filling and spraying. Do not pre-mix.

Withholding Periods

It is an offense for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds

Resistance Management

GROUP 3 FUNGICIDE

Pilot contains the fungicide prothioconazole, which belongs to the DMI (DeMethylation Inhibitor) activity group. Resistance to this fungicide could develop from excessive use. To minimize this risk, use strictly in accordance with label instructions. Apply a maximum of 3 DMI fungicides per crop, per season, (including seed treatment) at full recommended label rates. Safety & Health

Precautions

STORAGE: Keep out of reach of children. Store in the original, tightly closed container, in a secure place. Storage of certain quantities of this product trigger specific storage requirements (Refer to Safety Note). PERSONAL PROTECTION: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhalation of vapor or spray mist. When mixing or applying, wear overalls, chemical resistant boots and gloves, and eye protection. A respirator (organic vapor and particulate matter) is required where vapor or spray mist could be inhaled. Clean protective clothing daily after work. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using. Remove protective clothing and wash hands and face thoroughly before meals and after work. USE: Apply with well maintained and calibrated spray equipment. DISPOSAL: Dispose of this product only by using in accordance with this label, or at a suitable landfill. Triple rinse container and add rinsate to the spray tank. Dispose of container to a suitable landfill or agricultural container recycling scheme. Do not burn. Do not use container for any other purpose. ENVIRONMENTAL: Use this product carefully. Do not contaminate aquatic environments with product, spray drift or empty container. Do not allow spray drift outside the target area to occur.
