General Information

Mighty 700SC is a selective post-emergence herbicide for the control of various weeds in fodder beet, red beet (beetroot), sugar beet and mangolds. Uptake is predominantly via roots, with some uptake via leaves. Some residual activity occurs. Application to small weeds gives best results.

Spillage

Exclude non-essential people from the area. Wear protective clothing and prevent material from entering waterways. Absorb spill with inert material such as soil, sand, etc, and place in a waste container. Wash area with water, and absorb with further inert material. Dispose of safely to a suitable landfill.

Weeds Controlled

Susceptible: Amaranthus spp., annual poa, buttercups (seedling), chickweed, docks (seedling), fathen, galinsoga, groundsel, hawksbeard, henbit, matricaria spp. (stinking mayweed and chamomiles), nettles, pennycress, scotch thistle (seedling), shepherds purse, sow thistle, speedwells, spurrey, twin cress, white clover, wild portulaca, yarrow (seedling). Moderately Susceptible: Black nightshade, field pansy, fumitory, hedge mustard, scarlet pimpernel, thorn apple, wireweed. Non-Susceptible: Californian thistle, cleavers, cornbind, grasses (most), wild oats.

Directions For Use

It is an offense for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds.

Application Methods

Boom spraying: Apply using conventional spray equipment with thorough agitation. Nozzles should produce a fine mist. Apply the required rate of Mighty 700SC in 200 - 300 liters water/ha

Mixing

Shake well before use. Add the required quantity of Mighty 700SC to the spray tank partly filled with water, and maintain agitation through filling and spraying.

Resistance Management

GROUP C1 HERBICIDE

Mighty 700SC contains metamitron, a group C1 herbicide belonging to the triazinone chemical family. Some naturally occurring weeds may become resistant when excessive use of the same herbicide occurs. To prevent or delay the development of resistance, use in tank mixes and/or rotate use with herbicides with a different mode of action. Precautions

APPROVED HANDLER: This product must be under the control of an approved handler during use. TRACKING: This product must be tracked – Refer to NZS 8409 Management of Agrichemicals. STORAGE: Keep out of reach of children. Store in the original, tightly closed container, in a secure area away from feed or foodstuffs. Storage of certain quantities of this product trigger specific storage requirements (Refer to Safety Note). When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for two years from the date of manufacture. Contact your supplier for further information about the use of product that is older than this. PERSONAL PROTECTION: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhalation of spray mist. When mixing, loading or applying, wear overalls, boots, gloves and eye protection. A respirator (organic vapor and particulate matter) is required where spray mist could be inhaled. Clean protective clothing daily after work. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using. Remove protective clothing and wash hands and face thoroughly before meals and after work. USE: Apply with well maintained and calibrated spray equipment. DISPOSAL: Dispose of this product only by using in accordance with this label, or at a suitable landfill. Triple rinse container and add rinse to the spray tank. Dispose of packaging to a suitable landfill or via AgRecovery. Do not burn. Do not use container for any other purpose. ENVIRONMENTAL: Use this product carefully. Do not contaminate aquatic environments with product, spray drift or empty container. Do not allow spray drift outside the target area to occur.
