Product Information

A systemic fungicide for disease control in CEREAL and RYEGRASS SEED CROPS as shown under Directions for Use.

Active Ingredient: 250 g/liter propiconazole in the form of an emulsifiable concentrate.

General Information

Pro-P is a DMI fungicide with eradicant and protectant activity against certain diseases in cereals and ryegrass seed crops. It is best used as a protectant and applied at first sign of disease symptoms. Activity will last from 2 - 4 weeks depending on disease incidence and severity. It is an offense to use this product on animals.

Ingredients: Pro-P contains 250 g/liter propiconazole as the active ingredient, and up to 572 g/liter of toluene as a solvent

Spillage

Extinguish any ignition sources. Exclude non-essential people from the area. Avoid entering confined spaces. Wear protective clothing and prevent material from entering waterways. Absorb spill with inert material such as soil, sand, etc, and place in a waste container. Wash area with water and detergent, and absorb with further inert material. Dispose of safely to a suitable landfill.

Application Methods

Ground Application: Use a minimum of 200 liters of water per hectare.

Aerial Application: Use 0.5 liters of Pro-P in sufficient water to ensure more than 20 droplets/cm2 on all leaves.

Mixing

Partly fill the spray tank with water, and add the required quantity of Pro-P. Maintain agitation through filling and spraying.

Rainfall

Do not spray if rain is expected within 2 hours of spraying.

Withholding Periods

It is an offense for users of this product to cause residues exceeding the relevant MRL in the Food Notice: Maximum Residue Levels for Agricultural Compounds. Cereals 42 days Ryegrass Seed Crops 30 days

Resistance Management

GROUP 3 FUNGICIDE

Pro-P contains the fungicide propiconazole, which belongs to the DMI (DeMethylation Inhibitor) activity group. Resistance to this fungicide could develop from excessive use. To minimize this risk, use strictly in accordance with label instructions. Apply a maximum of 3 DMI fungicides per crop, per season, (including seed treatment) at full recommended label rates. Oats Crown Rust 0.5 liter in a minimum of 200 liters water Apply as a preventative spray at flag leaf emergence on susceptible cultivars, and at first sign of disease up to the completion of flowering on less susceptible ones.
Ryegrass Seed Crops Leaf Rust, Stem Rust 0.5 liter in a minimum of 200 liters water For best control on susceptible cultivars apply as a preventative spray after closing up for seed and repeat at 3 - 4 week intervals while disease pressure remains high. For control on less susceptible cultivars, apply at first sign of disease.

Precautions

APPROVED HANDLER: This product must be under the control of an approved handler during use. STORAGE: Keep out of reach of children. Do not store near heat, flame or other source of ignition. Store in the original, tightly closed container, in a secure and well ventilated area away from foodstuffs. Storage of certain quantities of this product trigger specific storage requirements (Refer to Safety Note). When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for two years from the date of manufacture. Contact your supplier for further information about the use of product that is older than this. PERSONAL PROTECTION: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Avoid inhalation of vapor or spray mist. When mixing or applying, wear overalls, chemical resistant boots and gloves, and eye protection. A respirator (organic vapor and particulate matter) is required where vapor or spray mist could be inhaled. Clean protective clothing daily after work. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using. Remove protective clothing and wash hands and face thoroughly before meals and after work. USE: Avoid handling, mixing or use of the product or container near heat, flame or other source of ignition. Apply with well maintained and calibrated spray equipment. DISPOSAL: Dispose of this product only by using in accordance with this label, or at a suitable landfill. Do not burn. Triple rinse container and add rinsate to the spray tank. Dispose of container to a suitable landfill or agricultural recycling scheme. Do not burn. Do not use container for any other purpose. ENVIRONMENTAL: Use this product carefully. Do not contaminate aquatic environments with product, spray drift or empty container. Do not allow spray drift outside the target area to occur.
