Features & Benefits

Product Highlights
  • VINTRE® has been shown to provide superior spreading, wetting and penetration compared to alternative surfactants such as crop oil concentrates (COC), methylated seed oils (MSO), high surfactant methylated seed oils (HSMOC), silicone surfactants (SS) and non-ionic surfactants (NIS).
  • VINTRE has been extensively field tested and is an excellent spreader, allowing pesticides to reach deep within cracks and crevices when mixed at low rates and, when mixed at higher rates, provides foliar penetration of inputs to a tree’s or plant’s phloem to distribute materials throughout the tree or plant and its roots.
Benefits of VINTRE plus Herbicides
  • TransPhloemTM technology delivers more post-emergent, systemic herbicide to the weeds’ roots faster than other types of adjuvants.
  • Superior spreading, wetting, and penetrating properties compared to other adjuvants.
  • Enhanced rainfastness due to fast cuticle penetration.
  • Ideal for herbicide resistance management.
Benefits of VINTRE plus Insecticides / Fungicides / Miticides
  • Penetrates waxy cuticles to move systemic pesticides into the plant quickly.
  • Is an excellent spreader, at low rates, for contact pesticides.
  • Knocks down mite webbing and leaves no sticky residue to attract dust and cause mite flare-ups.
  • Does not decrease stomatal conductance, unlike crop oil sprays that reduce transpiration and increase plant stress.
Benefits of VINTRE use With Foliar Applied Nutrients
  • Increased nutrient uptake into the plant.
  • Ensures complete coverage for better nutrient distribution.
  • Does not decrease stomatal conductance, unlike crop oil sprays that reduce transpiration and increase plant stress.

Applications & Uses

Application Instructions

A real benefit to growers is the versatility VINTRE adjuvant brings to spray programs. VINTRE has the capability to act as a wetter, spreader, penetrant and translocation aid depending on the use rate. Regardless of whether you are spraying a contact or systemic pesticide or foliar nutrient, VINTRE can deliver it to the desired action site, giving the active ingredients the best chance for peak performance. This makes selecting the right adjuvant simple and means you don’t have to buy several adjuvants for your different spray programs.

In Season Applications

  • With Insecticides, Fungicides, Miticides and Nutrients
    • For Vines - Mix 16 – 96 ounces per acre of insufficient water to provide complete coverage. Do not exceed a usage rate greater than 0.3% v/v. In California, do not exceed 32 ounces per acre at rates great than 0.3% v/v. Do not apply at 32 – 64 ounces per acre before or during a period of excessively hot temperatures (>90° F)
    • For Trees - Mix 16 – 96 ounces per acre with insufficient water to provide complete coverage. Do not exceed a usage rate greater than 0.3% v/v.
    • For Hops - Mix 16 – 96 ounces per acre of insufficient water to provide complete coverage. Do not exceed a usage rate greater than 0.3% v/v.
  • With Plant Growth Regulators

    • Use 10 – 20 ounces per acre of insufficient water to provide complete coverage.

  • With Herbicides

    • Mix 16 – 100 ounces per 100 gallons of water.

Recommendations

  • Use 16 -32 ounces for spreading and wetting of contact herbicides.
  • Use 32- 100 ounces per acre for spreading, wetting and penetration of systemic herbicides.
  • Use a higher rate when weeds are mature, hardened off or under stress.

Post-Harvest, Dormant and Delayed Dormant Applications

With Insecticides, Fungicides, Miticides, Nutrients and/or Dormant Oils - Add 1 to 3 quarts per acre in sufficient tank-mix spray water volumes to adequately wet the target.

Regulatory & Compliance

Certifications & Compliance
Council of Producers and Distributors of Agrotechnology (CPDA) Certified

The CPDA voluntary Adjuvant Certification Program is the first of its kind. Since its launch in 2001, it has quickly gained industry recognition as an innovative tool for encouraging product stewardship in the manufacture of agricultural adjuvants. Prior to this program, end users had little, if any, scientifically accepted standards by which they could effectively judge the quality of a tank-mix adjuvant. Members of the CPDA Adjuvants and Inerts Committee developed the program to bring a level of consistency in product performance for adjuvants used with agricultural pesticide formulations. Products certified under the program must meet 17 separate benchmarks that are based on technologically and scientifically derived definitions and standards adopted by the American Society for Testing and Materials, now known as ASTM International, and certain requirements of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Agricultural spray adjuvants are not subject to federal regulation by the EPA.

When users purchase a CPDA-certified adjuvant product, they have the assurance that the product meets the functionality claims indicated on the label according to a specified, uniform set of standards, and that ingredients used in the product meet EPA regulations for approved ingredients for use in pesticide tank mixes. The ASTM International standards E 1519-06ae1 and E 609-05 (available for purchase on the ASTM website) provide the structure for ensuring an adjuvant product is of high quality and reliability. Pesticide registrants and users will have the assurance that the product will meet its performance claims and that all product labeling guidelines have been followed.

9 Day Pot Study

Quicken the Translocation of Systemic Herbicides throughout Weeds

A recent Oro Agri-commissioned study conducted by the University of Illinois has shown the TransPhloemTM technology contained in VINTRE offers producers improved translocation of herbicides to kill weeds faster and improve field conditions for all commercial crops.

VINTRE provides superior results compared to other adjuvant types and various crop oils, resulting in faster weed kill to improve the potential for higher yields.

TransPhloemTM technology, incorporated in all Oro Agri foliar-applied adjuvants including WETCIT®, VINTRE®, OROCIT® and OROBOOST®, quickens the translocation of systemic herbicides throughout the plant leading to a faster kill off. In the pictures above, an application of an Oro Agri adjuvant containing TransPhloemTM technology combined with glyphosate resulted in a quicker kill of the lambsquarter weed.

VINTRE for Insecticide / Fungicide / Miticide Programs

Superior spreading, wetting and penetration for superior results

VINTRE, now with TransPhloemTM technology, provides the ideal method for improving the efficacy of applications. Field tests have shown VINTRE provides better coverage and penetration to deliver more active ingredients into trees and vines and provide a more complete barrier to infestation. Unlike oil-based adjuvants, VINTRE does not leave sticky residues and provides quicker, more complete spreading in cracks and crevices and penetration through leaf surfaces.

VINTRE for Foliar Nutrition Programs

Better spreading and better absorption for better results

VINTRE with TransPhloemTM technology maximizes foliar fertilization by increasing absorption of nutrients through superior deposition and penetration through leaf surfaces. TransPhloemTM technology allows for faster and more complete nutrient movement into and throughout plants than other adjuvants and surfactants. Better absorption with VINTRE’s proprietary formulation can increase quality and the potential for higher yields.
