Fortprint 1690 is a room temperature film-forming, modified acrylic copolymer. Indicated for composition of graphic inks, Fortprint 1690 has good compatibility with alcohols, excellent stability and a film with fast drying, smooth, high gloss and good resistance to grease. Fortprint 1690 has Newtonian liquid rheological characteristics, which provides excellent flow and leveling of paints by roller or spray. Inks formulated with this product are normally applied by flexography, rotogravure or offset. In addition to the excellent flexibility of the Fortprint 1690 film, it has high scratch resistance with good blocking resistance. Typically Fortprint 1690 allows compounding with Fortprint 1685 to regulate film hardness and increase scratch resistance.
