Features & Benefits

Instructions
  • Mix product well before use. Some settling of solids and separation of oil and water does occur. The product returns easily to a colloidal suspension upon mixing.
  • Use up all product that has been diluted. s 4.5 the biology gets active and will cause diluted product to expand. Fungal mycelia may grow in diluted product.
  • This is a bioactive product. Flush drip lines well after use.
  • Protect drip lines from clogging by jar testing mixtures with other inputs and high pH irrigation water and use a screen downstream of injection.
  • Wash off with water any contact with skin.
Product Highlights

Feeds a Diverse Soil Food Web

Provides a broad range of Macro and Micronutrients, as well as fish oil that feeds beneficial fungi and improves soil texture.

Delivers Organic Nitrogen

From seafood proteins and shell particles enzymatically digested into amino acids.

High Performance Foliar

Provides a spectrum of marine nutrients, plant available Calcium, and fish oil that is a superior sticker on foliage.

Increases Plant Available Nutrients

  • Calcium from fish bone and shell is highly plant available and outperforms conventional calcium sources.
  • Amino acids chelate nutrients for plant availability.
Seafood for the Soil®
  • Made from micronized shrimp and crab and other seafood waste.
  • Cold processed hydrolysate.
  • Screened to 150 mesh for trouble-free spray and drip application.
  • No oils removed, allows for soil lock and foliar sticking.
  • Good food product promoting beneficial microbial activity, especially fungal.
  • Derived from fish protein hydrolysate stabilized with sulfuric acid, and seafood protein hydrolysate.

Applications & Uses

Application Guidance for Pacific Gro Oceanic Hydrolysate
  • This is a highly bio-active product which works well in fertigation and by foliar spray, if applied with care.  Pacific Gro is stabilized with acid and double-screened at 150 mesh in a fine colloidal suspension.
  • Pacific Gro is an organic source of a great range of nutrients.  Fish oil and digested shell particles are excellent food for soil microorganisms. It will help develop a diverse and high functioning soil food web, which improves soil tilth, water retention and nutrient availability.  Farmers notice a proliferation of soil life and restoration of a healthy fungal-bacterial balance.
  • Ocean-caught fish scrap (mostly salmon), shrimp and crab is collected from seafood processors, then ground and enzymatically digested without addition of any heat or removal of the natural oils or proteins. The low temperature process protects the amino acids, vitamins, and enzymes present in the raw material.
  • Please consult with an agronomist, crop consultant, experienced farmer or other professional for specific guidance. Get a good soil analysis, address issues of unbalanced nutrients, and use Pacific Gro in a program that will increase organic matter content and yield higher brix produce.

General Usage and Application Rates

Shake well before mixing with water
Dilution rate: 30:1 (1/2 cup per gallon of water), except as noted below.

Vegetable and Flower Gardens – 4 gallons per acre or 1 ½ cups per 1000 sq. ft., 3 to 5 times per year.
Trees and Shrubs – 1 ½ cups per 1000 sq. ft. of landscape, 1 or 2 times per year. Or mix 1 cup per gallon, fill several holes bored in ground near drip line.
Potted Plants – Mix ½ - 1 oz. per gallon, fertilize weekly.
Lawns – 1 1/8 cups per 1000 sq. ft., 2 to 4 times per year.
Potting Soil – 1 gallon per yard, or up to 2.5 gallons per yard in soil-less media.
Foliar use – 1 oz. per gallon. At large scale 1 – 2 gal/acre.
Farming: Generally 5 – 10 gal/acre per application, 3 to 4 soil drenches per season, plus foliar applications. Please consult our application guide for particular crop guidance.

Since it feeds the soil, post-harvest application is particularly effective.

Consult with a crop consultant, experienced farmer or other professional for specific guidance.
