MIN-AD has been listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) for use in production of organic food and fiber. Mining is carried out with a special mineral oil based explosive instead of more typical fuel oil explosives, which eliminates palatability or contamination concerns.

The amount of MIN-AD fed varies with application, ration composition, and production levels. Beef cattle can be fed at about 3 oz/ head/ day or 0.75% - 1.00% of the total ration on a dry matter basis. It can effectively replace other Mg and Ca sources. Dairy cattle can be fed at the rate of 3-6 oz/ head/ day, depending on whether it is fed in combination with other buffer products. Contact your nutritionist for a recommendation specific to your application.

MIN-AD is labeled Magnesium Limestone in accordance with the definitions and standards of the Association of American Feed Control Officials (57.11 AAFCO, IFN 6-06-934).

Bulk rail (bottom dump) and bulk truck (bottom dump & pneumatic). MIN-AD is also available in 50 lb English language bags, 25 kg Spanish bags, or super sacks (~2400 lbs/sack for Standard, ~2000 lbs/sack for Fines).
