PAT-ADD AF 61 is a very efficient defoamer and de-airing agent. In clear varnishes, the product may cause some in can haziness. However, typically the transparency of the dry film is not effected. PAT-ADD AF 61 is most suitable for use in acid-cured wood varnishes, NC-varnishes, stoving enamels, as well as 2-K PUR and UPE systems. PAT-ADD AF 61 is suitable for coatings, applied using various application procedures, such as brushing, airless spraying, roller- and curtain coating. Moreover, PAT-ADD AF 61 is recommended for use in printing inks.

- Dosage & Addition
The optimal amount of PAT-ADD AF 61 to be used is system related, but generally is between 0,05 and 0,4% PAT-ADD AF 61, calculated on the total weight of the system. In case of using PAT-ADD AF 61 in clear systems and high gloss coatings, it is recommended to check the effect on the transparency and gloss of the dried film carefully. The optimum concentration to be used depends on the individual requirements and conditions.
