PAT-ADD DA 939 is a polymeric dispersing agent showing strong adsorption properties onto a wide variety of pigment surfaces, contributing to best dispersion stability, low viscosity pigment dispersions and high transparency fir fine particle sized pigments. PATADD DA 939 is most suitable for the formulation of pigment concentrates
- Benefits
- Used in industrial paints and architectural paints
- Provides excellent color development and transparency
- Polymeric dispersing agent, for best resin compatibility
Applications & Uses
- Markets
- Application
Pigment dispersant for industrial paints, high concentrated RFPC, incl. carbon black. Polyurethane polymer, multi-anchoring. Free of aromatic solvents. HMV polymer.
- Dosage & Addition
The optimal amount of PAT-ADD DA 939 to be used is system related, but generally is between 8 and 12% PAT-ADD DA 939, calculated on the total weight of pigment concentrate. If used in ready mixed paints, dosages of approx. 0,6 to 3% are suggested. The product is best added to the mill-base prior to the pigments. For carbon blacks a dosage of 20 to 60% (active ingredient) on pigment is recommended. The optimum concentration to be used depends on the individual requirements and conditions.
