- Properties
PAT-ADD DA 948 is a polymeric dispersing agent showing strong adsorption properties onto a wide variety of pigment and extender surfaces, including carbon blacks, organic pigments and extenders, contributing to best dispersion stability, low viscosity pigment dispersions and high transparency fir fine particle sized pigments.
- Benefits
- Lowering viscosity of the mill base
- Prevents floatation and flooding
- Support providing Newtonian flow characteristics pigment concentrates
- Extremely effective for best dispersion stability characteristics
- Provides excellent color development and transparency
- For solvent-free industrial coatings, pigment concentrates and silk screen printing inks
Applications & Uses
- Applications
- Compatible Polymers & Resins
- Application
Polymeric dispersing agent, strong adsorption properties onto carbon blacks, organic pigments and extenders, best dispersion stability and high transparency. Specially for use in EP and PU floorings.HMV polymer.
- Application
High Molar Volume polymer, 100% active dispersing agent specially designed for plastisols, gel coats and UPR (unsaturated polyester). Acts as viscosity reducer and stabilizer in Plastisol. Enables low mill base viscosity and achieve higher pigment loading.FDA 21 CFR 175.300 approved (US FDA)
- Application
HMV polymer.Solvent free Polymeric dispersing agent, strong adsorption properties on carbon blacks, organic pigments and extenders, best dispersion stability and high transparency.
- Dosage & Addition
The optimal amount of PAT-ADD DA 948 to be used is system related, but generally is between 6 and 10% PAT-ADD DA 948, calculated on the total weight of pigment concentrate. If used in ready mixed paint or systems, dosages of approx. 0,6 to 3% are suggested. The product is best added to the mill-base prior to the pigments. For carbon blacks a dosage of 20 to 60% (active ingredient) on pigment is recommended. The optimum concentration to be used depends on the individual requirements and conditions.
