PAT-ADD LE 1070 is a very efficient surface tension modifier, effective at very low concentrations. The product demonstrates excellent efficiency, avoiding formation of craters, pinholes and poor substrate coverage of coatings applied onto critical substrates such as improperly cleaned substrates and low surface tension substrates. Moreover, PAT-ADD LE 1070 provides excellent surface smoothness, slip and mar resistance & counteracts pigment floating. PAT-ADD LE 1070 is suitable for use in pigmented as well as clear coating systems.
- Benefits
- Most effective leveling agent
- Based on green chemistry
- Silicon and fluor free
- Excellent compatibility, high transparency lacquers
- Minimal effect on slip (coëfficiënt of friction, COF)
- Effective in NC, TPA, industrial paints and inks, can coatings

- Application
Leveling, for maintaining optimal adhesion. First choice for coil and can coatings. Polyester, approx. 99-100%; silicone and fluoro free leveling agent.
- Dosage & Addition
The optimal amount of PAT-ADD LE 1070 to be used is system and application related. PAT-ADD LE 1070 may be added to the formulation during any stage of paint production. Following dosages, calculated on the total weight of paint formulation, are recommended to ensure proper performance: -leveling: typically 0.2 to 1.02%. It is strongly recommended to evaluate performance and compatibility empirically, applying close-to-practice test conditions. The optimum concentration to be used depends on the individual requirements and conditions.
