- Properties
PAT-ADD LE 1433 is a highly efficient surface tension modifier for waterborne and polar-solvent systems. The product demonstrates excellent substrate wetting, to prevent craters, pinholes and poor substrate coverage of coatings applied onto critical substrates such as improperly cleaned substrates and low surface energy substrates. PAT-ADD LE 1433 is suitable for clears and pigmented systems; additionally, exhibiting excellent performances in inks and overprint varnishes applied onto low surface energy substrates.
Applications & Uses

- Dosage & Addition
The optimal amount of PAT-ADD LE 1433 used is system and application related.PAT-ADD LE 1433 is preferably added in the let-down stage of paint production. The recommended dosage is between 0.05 to 0.8%, calculated on the total weight of the formulation. It is highly recommended that evaluation of performance and compatibility be conducted empirically, applying close-to-practice test conditions. The optimum concentration depends on the individual formulation and conditions.
- End Use Application
PAT-ADD LE 1433 is recommended for wood and industrial coatings, incl. 2-pack PUR, EP, OEM, refinishes; paints and varnishes, inks and similar application requiring surface tension reduction
