Bronze is used in high amounts to increase the thermal conductivity and reduce the deformation under load when bronze-filled PTFE materials are subjected to load at extreme temperatures. Bronze-filled PTFE materials have the very good abrasion resistance and compressive strength. Bronze-filled PTFE materials are typically used for bearing and wear ring applications.
