Mean plasma concentration-time profiles of hesperetin in rats after oral adminstration of native hesperidin and RenoCidin™ at 22.8 u mol/kg bw. Data are mean ‡ SE (n = 4).

Animal Study Healthy Ageing and Longevity

Hesperetin extends lifespan and enhances Cisd2 levels in old WT mice. The survival rate of old WT mice treated with vehicle (Veh; n = 8) or hesperetin 100 mg/kg/day (Hes; n = 19). Statistical comparison of the survival curves by log-rank test: Veh versus hesperetin, p = 0.04.
