SPRAY VOLUME PER HECTARE
DETERMINE THE SPRAY VOLUME REQUIRED PER HECTARE USING THE TREE ROW VOLUME MODEL. CONSULT THE TECHNICAL ADVISOR OF YOUR PROMALIN® DISTRIBUTOR. APPLY PROMALIN® SPRAY MIX AS A UNIFORM FINE MIST SPRAY, DIRECTING 85 % OF THE SPRAY TO THE UPPER 2/3 OF THE TREE.
- Time Of Application
- Apply when wind conditions will not cause excessive spray drift.
- If conditions at full bloom are unfavorable, delay application until conditions favoring maximum absorption of PROMALIN® exist. High relative humidity, cool weather, damp and slow drying conditions at time of spraying or shortly thereafter, improves absorption. Spray in the early morning or evening. Conditions favoring rapid drying conditions of spray should be avoided.
- Delay applying PROMALIN® after rain until flower parts and leaves are free of surface droplets. Application should be made only when a 6-hour rainfree period is expected. If rain falls within 6 hours of application reduced response should be anticipated. Do not re-spray in the event of rain falling within 6 hours of application.
- Do not apply when temperatures are expected to be lower than 7 oC or higher than 32 0C at the time of application.
- Mixing Instructions
- Do not pre-mix PROMALIN®.
- Do not add water to PROMALIN®.
- Fill a clean spray tank half-filled with clean water and engage the agitator. Add the required amount of PROMALIN®.
- If PROMALIN® is to be tank mixed with Golden Thin, first mix the PROMALIN® thoroughly before adding the Golden Thin. Continue to agitate while bringing the total volume of water to the required level.
- Use the PROMALIN® spray solution within 24 hours of mixing.

- Apply in the spring when terminal buds begin to
swell but before shoots emerge. Applications after buds have broken may cause some injury to tender shoot tips and fail to promote shoot growth from that
point.
- Add non-ionic wetting agent to the paint, at 5 ml per 1 liter paint, before the Promalin® is added.
- Uniformly apply the Promalin®-paint mixture with a brush or sponge to thoroughly cover the bud (bark surface).
- Apply only to one-year-old-wood. Apply the higher rate on varieties which naturally have difficulty in bud breaking.
