Pipedream Industries Fire Retardant HDPe Plastic Pellets

Pipedream Industries Fire Retardant HDPe Plastic Pellets contains nano materials that have the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any known material, they are bound together by a sp² bond, even stronger than the sp³ bonds that hold together diamonds. It makes our nano-materials 100x stronger than steel. Due to its nanoscopic size, the surface area of our nano-materials is magnitudes larger than most conventional materials which allows our additive to have exceptional properties in plastics.

Chemical Family: Polyethylenes, Polyolefins

Functions: Flame Retardant

Compatible Polymers & Resins: High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Features & Benefits

Benefits when added to plastics/HDPE:

  • Increased fire retardancy/self extinguishing.
  • Ultra low % loading needed (1 - 3 % V 20% avg).
  • Not halogen based/carbon negative.
  • Enhanced tensile strength.
  • No special mixing instructions required.
  • Plastic retains shape in a fire, preventing dripping.
  • Substantially lighter than conventional competitors, Need only 1 - 3 % weight of plastic compared to approximately 20%. Make products substantially lighter.
  • Keeps plastic as char residue, reduce amount of gasses released into the environment.
  • Requires ultra low amount for optimal fire retardancy, 1 - 3% weight of plastic compared to approximately 20%.
