It is recommended to use it continuously, (at each irrigation), from the second week following the germination to the eighth week of growth.
- Directions For Use
Plant-Prod® 11-41-8 Forestry Seedling Special can be used on most species of containerized forest tree seedlings such as White Spruce, Black Spruce, Jack Pine and Red Pine.
Fertilization of seedlings should begin at primary needle stage, approximately two weeks after emergence (germination). The high phosphorous in this formulation encourages rapid initial root growth. This formulation should be used for approximately three weeks to establish a vigorous root system.
Plant-Prod 11-41-8 contains a higher concentration of iron than is available in other Plant-Prod horticultural fertilizer formulations. It is therefore unnecessary to apply additional iron chelate.
- Rate of Application
A concentration in the range of 25 - 75 ppm Nitrogen is recommended. Concentration may vary according to species grown and season. It is recommended that Plant-Prod 11-41-8 be used as a constant feed every irrigation to ensure optimal levels of nutrients at all times without creating excess salts.
