    Sandalwood poaching in India led to its eradication from the wild in most of the world. More recently, Australia has started growing this wood and producing the essential oil and by-products (hydrosol).
    Product Characteristics
    Highly aromatic (must be at room temperature) with a soft, dry odor and a pleasant, woody flavor. Sandalwood water holds up well in dilution and can stay fresh for up to 24 months.

    • Sandalwood hydrosol is exceptioonal in skin care, particularly for delicate and mature skin
    • It can be used directly on rosacea, psoriasis, acne, and around the eyes
    • Add it to shampoo or make a rinse for oily hair
    • Sandalwood makes a calming and balancing aftershave, or combined with immortelle, a natural mouthwash
    • It is used in Ayurveda as a douche for vaginitis and candida and is proven effective for recurring bladder infections
