    Product Highlight

PTFA 12 is a tough and rigid halogen-free compound designed for injection molding engineering components. Initially developed for molding escalator comb sets, it has since proved beneficial in other electrical components because of its stiffness and durability. It can even replace glass-filled FR nylon compounds in certain applications, due to its thermal and UV-stability ratings and lower specific gravity. Currently available in yellow RAL 1023, other colors and performance permutations can be accommodated. Articles made from this compound will meet the environmental criteria of both the WEEE and ROHS Directives.

    Features
    • Polypropylene based
    • Potential replacement for glass-filled nylon compounds
    • Very strong and durable
    • Lower processing temperature (~180ºC) allows for energy savings in production
    • Lower density (specific gravity) means more units per ton
