In order to manufacture high quality products in today’s market, Polytrade chose to headquarter its business in the south region of Brazil, the metropolitan city of Curitiba. Not only does the region provide the necessary qualified human capabilities, it is also the cradle of international trade in the country. With such a context and relying on intelligent partnerships, we are able to supply our natural resins worldwide to more than 30 countries in 6 continents.

Polytrade has been successful in accomplishing its objectives and meeting client’s needs for more than 2 decades. Rendering efficient eco-friendly products and delivering high quality services is the essence of the firm’s philosophy to which it has remained faithful throughout the years.

So much so that in 2017 we expanded to Miami, Florida, USA to better meet the increasing demand for our natural resins in the North American market. And in 2020 we commenced the production of certain products in Spain to meet expectations of our EU clients and partners.

FireBinder is a powdered natural resin added to waterproofing formulations for the packaging of fireworks and signal cartridges. The main ingredient for this plant-based product is obtained from a native Brazillian tree, the Parana Pine.

CarboGasket is a powdered thermoplastic natural resin with high bonding capabilities for solvent-based gasket sealant formulations.

CARBOGASKET 

Carbofen 6060 is a powdered, thermoplastic natural resin insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, and used in foundry coating formulations. Our product is derived from the Parana Pine, a native Brazilian tree of the pine family. This thermoplastic resin is a brown powder insoluble in water. After being saponified by caustic soda (NaOH) or potassium hydroxide (KOH), Carbofen 6060 becomes a soap solution and soluble. Our product is also soluble in ethanol.

Respin Shellac Gloss is a flaked natural resin capable of bestowing wooden surfaces shine and a glossy finish when added to wood varnish formulations. This plant-based product is obtained from the Parana Pine, a native Brazillian tree from the pine family. Respin Shellac Gloss is soluble in ethanol, methanol, esters and acetone, while being insoluble in aliphatic solvents, aromatic solvents and water. Furthermore, for added flexibility, this flaked natural resin can be combined with synthetic resins, such as those produced from colophony, nitrocellulose and P.V.A.

FireBinder Flake is a natural resin used in waterproofing formulations for the packaging of fireworks and signal cartridges. This plant-based product is derived from the Parana Pine, a tree native to Brazil. FireBinder Flake is insoluble in water, aliphatic solvents and aromatic solvents. However, our natural resin issoluble in ethanol, methanol, acetone and esters. Our product can be used as is or solubilized, depending on the intended application.

Respin Shellac Matte is a natural resin capable of awarding wooden surfaces a matte finish when added to wood varnish formulations. This plant-based product is obtained from a native Brazillian tree, known as the Parana Pine. Respin Shellac Matte is soluble in esters, acetone, ethanol and methanol, while being insoluble in aliphatic solvents, water and aromatic solvents. Furthermore, for added flexibility, this natural resin can be used by itself or with other raw materials in wood varnish formulations.

CarboGasket is a powdered thermoplastic natural resin with high bonding capabilities for solvent-based gasket sealant formulations. Our product is soluable in acetone, ethyl alcohol and ethyl acetate, while being insoluable in petroleum ether and water. Also, CarboGasket has a high resistance to solvents, such as ethyl alcohol and gasoline, once solubilized and mixed into formulations.

Respin RLP is a flaked thermoplastic natural resin used in solvent-based coating formulations for the foundry industry. This plant-based raw material is obtained from a native Brazillian tree of the pine family, the Parana Pine. Our product has physical and chemical properties similar to the Indian resin Shellac, thus placing Respin RLP in the favored position of cost-effective substitute or compatible extender for Shellac in formulations for foundry coatings.

Respin Frilac is a natural resin ideal for food coating formulations since our plant-based product has anti-mold characteristics and is capable of awarding shine and gloss to food coatings when added into its formulation. Our flaked product is extracted from a native tree to Brazil, the Parana Pine, and modified to become a natural resin for food coating formulations. Our product is presented in gold-brown laminated, thin scales so that it can be easily dissolved in solvents and provide a high degree of brilliance for food coating formulations.

RESPIN Frilac

Polytrade CarboBinder is a powerful powdered thermoplastic natural resin with high tackiness for solvent-based automotive sealants and adhesives.Our product has excellent compatibility with nitryl rubber and antioxidant agents. CarboBinder is soluble in several solvents, such as acetone, ethyl alcohol, and ethyl acetate. Once solubilized and mixed into formulations, this thermoplastic resin has a high resistance to ethyl alcohol and gasoline, making it a raw material ideal for applications in the automotive industry.

Carbofen Gold is a flaked natural anionic bitumen emulsifying agent used in slow set emulsions for road surface binder applications and waterproofing. Our resin is derived from a tree native to Brazil, the Parana Pine, and has a chemical composition similar to oxidized gum rosin. Carbofen Gold is insoluable in water in its natural state. Once neutralized with caustic soda, the product becomes a soap solution and soluble. Our product can be used as is or saponified, depending on the application.

CarboGasket Flake is a thermoplastic natural resin soluble in ethanol and has a high adhesive capacity for gasket sealant formulations. Our product is soluble in ethanol and due to its flaked form, has an easy solubility. CarboGasket Flake is also compatible with nitryl rubber, providing excellent balance and performance as a vehicle of metal to metal adhesion.
