  • INCI Name:Coral Powder
  • Ingredient Origin:Natural Origin
  • Functions:Exfoliant (Physical)
  • Labeling Claims:Natural, Organic, Non-GMO, Naturally Derived
  • Certifications & Compliance:Organic Certified, USDA Certified
Coral Calcium Powder is often referred to as Calcium Coral because it contains at least 35% calcium carbonate. In addition to its large ratio of calcium, Coral Calcium Powder also contains 72 other major and trace minerals. Many of the minerals that are contained in Coral Calcium operate synergistically with each other in a natural balance that cannot be replicated within man-made formulations. Coral Calcium Powder has been used internally within nutrition and medicinal applications for nearly 2,000 years and has recently been recognized for its ability to contribute to strong teeth and healthy skin, hair and nails when incorporated into cosmeceutical and dental formulations. Add calcium coral to any formulation in which a high mineral content is desirable such as scrubs, body polishes, massage butters, masks, facials, wraps, mineral makeup, lotions, dental powders and other formulations. Praan Naturals supplies only pure fossilized above sea Coral Calcium Powder. Fossilized Above Sea Coral Calcium Powder is carefully harvested from pure coral that has risen to above sea level. In contrast, marine coral is harvested from living coral reefs and the surrounding areas. Marine coral is inferior to fossilized above sea coral because it can contain impurities and other sea elements such as sea shells, rock and silica. The origin of Coral Calcium Powder can also be important. Praan Naturals sources its Coral Calcium from the Carribean Islands. Coral Calcium Powder originating from the Marshall Islands, for instance, may be contaminated by plutonium as a result of the nuclear testing performed in that area. Below is an abbreviated list of 15 of the 73 minerals contained in Coral Calcium Powder. Sources: 1. Praan Naturals Certificate of Analysis 2. Bruce W. The amla fruit, also known as the Indian Gooseberry, is a highly nutritious, greenish-yellow fruit with an intriguing, sweet yet sour flavor. The berries grow on a small deciduous tree with small branchlets. In its native India, the amla tree has been worshiped as Mother Nature because it has numerous internal and external applications within traditional Ayurvedic practices. The nourishing fruit is naturally rich in Vitamin C, minerals, polyphenols including ellagitannins (tannins), flavonoids, ellagic acid and other phytochemicals. The seeds are reported to be comprised of a significant quantity of Linolenic Acid, an omega-3 essential fatty acid and Linoleic Acid, an omega-6 essential fatty acid. Amla Oil has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine for its wide range of beneficial applications. The oil is especially well embraced for its remarkable ability to nourish and promote healthy hair and scalp. Praan Naturals Amla Oil is meticulously produced using a multi-step process that incorporates the nutritive benefits of expeller pressed amla seed oil with the benefits of amla fruit macerated/extracted into sesame seed oil. To begin the process, amla fruit is crushed and is then boiled to release the natural fruit oils. The infusion is then reduced under vacuum pressure. The resulting hydro-extract is then gently warmed in sesame oil, and the remaining moisture is removed. Separately, the seeds are expeller pressed. The resulting expeller pressed seed oil is collected and added to the sesame oil extract to produce the final Amla Oil. Properties: Golden Yellow to Light Brown Hue Characteristic Light, Sweet, Nutty Aroma Medium Viscosity Medium Absorption Effective Slip/Glide Highly Moisturizing and Emollient Uses: Amla Oil possesses an impressive reputation for its efficacy in nourishing the scalp, conditioning dry and brittle hair and for promoting strong, healthy and shiny hair. Praan Naturals Andean Mint Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves and stems of Minthostachys mollis, a native Peruvian plant. We have sourced this oil from a distiller that is mindful of sustainability concerns and that certifies that the Andean Mint (Minthostachys mollis) is cut in a manner that allows for regrowth of this highly revered plant. It is not uprooted during the harvesting process. Andean Mint Essential Oil is also known as Muna Essential Oil. Andean Mint Essential Oil is a particularly intriguing oil due to its overall composition that includes 28-29% of the ketone pulegone. Overall, it contains 70% ketones. As such, it is a very powerful essential oil that should be used conservatively. We see this essential oil as showing promise in supporting respiratory health. Its properties also make it well suited for aromatic applications intended to support cleanliness. Emotionally, Andean Mint Essential Oil is a stimulating essential oil that is well suited for use in formulations intended to help to ease the feelings of sadness and discouragement and to help invigorate the body, mind and spirit. It can be helpful in promoting mental and emotional focus and concentration. Aromatically, Andean Mint Essential Oil possesses a bright, minty, herbal aroma. It blends well with essential oils within the mint, herbal, wood, conifer, and citrus families. Although Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young does not include an entry for Andean Mint Essential Oil that is steam distilled specifically from Minthostachys mollis, we recommend a dermal maximum of .8% based on our interpretation of component guidelines presented in the book. This percentage serves as a suggestion only, and we strongly recommend referring to Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 to review and confirm safety information based on the intended use of the oil.

The Aspen, also known as the Quaking Aspen, is a tall, deciduous tree that is native to North America. The tree has a slender truck that can reach heights of up to 80 feet. The beautiful, smooth, white bark is rich in natural salicylates, a compound that acts as a potent natural antimicrobial. Salicylates are thought to help defend and protect aspen trees against the invasion of parasites. As the media continues to focus its attention on the risks of parabens, formaldehyde releasers, and other synthesized preservatives, product formulators and manufacturers are facing the growing challenge of procuring natural alternatives that provide suitable broad-spectrum protection. Praan Naturals is pleased to offer manufacturers and formulators a range of premium quality natural preservatives, including Aspen Bark Powdered Extract. Aspen Bark Powdered Extract helps to resist microbial contamination and control microbial growth while simultaneously offering nutritive skin conditioning benefits. The specialized process used to manufacture Aspen Bark Powdered Extract isolates the antimicrobial salicylate content so that the extract provides a standardized salicylate content range of 54.0-60.0%. Properties: Product Form: Powdered Extract Solubility: Water Color: White/Pale Odor: Very Faint, Characteristic Aroma Texture: Texture: Free Flowing, Fine Powder pH (3% Solution in Water): 3.8-6.2 Salicylate Content: 54.0-60.0% Skin Conditioning Antimicrobial (Antibacterial and Antifungal) Microorganisms Tested: E. coli P. aeruginosa S. aureus C. albicans A. brasiliensis Uses: Aspen Bark Powdered Extract is well suited for use as a natural antimicrobial in the production of skin care, hair care and cosmetic formulations. In addition to its application as a natural antimicrobial, Aspen Bark Powdered Extract also helps to condition the skin. Aspen Bark Powdered Extract is water soluble and can be added to water based formulations or during the water phase of emulsions. The ideal maximum temperature at which to incorporate Aspen Bark Powdered Extract is 140 degrees F (60 degrees C). Maintaining a pH range of 3-9 is recommended. Recommended Usage Rate: 0.2 - 3% All formulations should be challenge tested by a qualified laboratory to ensure that each batch is properly preserved. The method of production, the specific components of the formulation, the environment in which the batch is formulated and the method of packaging all play a crucial role in the resulting shelf life of a batch. Therefore, we cannot guarantee your results when incorporating natural preservatives into your formulations. Only lab challenge testing can determine how and if a preservative is achieving the desired results. Storage Information: Store in a cool, dry location. The ideal storage temperature range is 73-78 degrees Fahrenheit (23-25 degrees Celsius). Do not freeze.
