Praan Naturals Angelica Root Essential Oil is a clear/pale yellow oil with thin viscosity that is steam distilled from the roots of Angelica archangelica, a biennial herb that is most commonly grown in regions of northern Europe. Angelica Root Essential Oil is valued for its aroma within fine fragrancing, perfumery and beauty/personal care applications. With its deep, grounding aroma, it is widely used as base note and can help to act as a natural fixative. Although the recipes are proprietary, Angelica Root is rumored to contribute to the distinctive aroma and flavor of Benedictine and Chartreuse, both fine French liquors with a fascinating history. Praan Naturals Angelica Root Oil possesses a deep, peppery/spicy, woody herbaceous aroma that blends well with many other essential oils and aromatics including oils in the wood, herbal, floral, spice and root families. Within holistic aromatherapy applications, Angelica Root Essential Oil is considered grounding and may help ease the feelings of stress, anxiety and exhaustion. It is also said to act as an aphrodisiac for some. Angelica Root Essential Oil is a photosensitizer. Use at less than 0.8% in products that remain on the surface of the skin to avoid risk of phototoxicity as recommended by IFRA and Essential Oil Safety (Edition 2) by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young.

Praan Naturals Chamomile Total CO2 Extract
  • INCI Name:Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract
  • Functions:Anti-Inflammatory, Fragrance
  • Fragrance:Chamomile
  • Ingredient Origin:Non-Animal Origin, Natural Origin, Plant Origin
  • Labeling Claims:Plant-Based, Ulta Beauty's Conscious Beauty, Non-GMO, Organic, Credo Clean Standard, Clean at Sephora
  • Certifications & Compliance:Organic Certified, USDA Certified
Praan Naturals Chamomile Flower Total CO2 Extract is produced from Chamomilla Recutita and is also known as German Chamomile. It contains both the volatile and non-volatile CO2 soluble components of Chamomilla recutita (synonymous with Matricaria recutita). CO2 Totals are CO2 Supercritical Extracts that have been extracted at higher pressure than those classified as CO2 Selects. CO2 Totals are the closest representation of the natural plant ever achieved. Aromatically, Praan Naturals Chamomile Flower Total CO2 Extract possesses a pleasant, fruity, floral chamomile aroma that is similar in aroma to that of the original botanical. It is much fresher, sweeter and pleasant in aroma than most steam distilled German chamomile essential oils. If you tend to prefer the aroma of English and Roman chamomile essential oils to that of German chamomile oils, then there is an excellent chance that you will be very pleased with the aroma of our Chamomile Flower Total CO2 Extract. Chamomile Flower Total CO2 Extract is especially soothing, calming and supportive for dry, mature, damaged and problem skin types. Due to its Matricin content, it is also highly anti-inflammatory. Praan Naturals Chamomile Flower Total CO2 Extract is similar in color, aroma and composition to that of our Organic German Chamomile Total CO2 Extract. Chamomile Flower Total CO2 Extract is a deep golden green. It consists of 7-17% essential oil. In addition to its essential oil content, it contains the heavier waxes, fatty acids, resins, color compounds and other non-volatile compounds. Present within the extract is 20-45% of Bisabolol (Sesquiterpenol), 5-20% Bisabolol Oxide (Oxide) and 1-3% Matricin (Sesquiterpene). Matricin, a sesquiterpene that is present within the CO2 extract but not the steam distilled oil, is reported to offer superior anti-inflammatory action to that of Chamazulene. Because Matricin is considered to be more effective than Chamazulene, less CO2 is often needed to achieve the same results and efficacy in comparison to working with the steam distilled essential oil. Chamomile Flower Total CO2 Extract is thick at room temperature and should be gently warmed before incorporating it into blends and formulations. It is soluble in essential oils and vegetable oils.

  • Fragrance:Mint

  • Labeling Claims:Plant-Based, Organic, Non-GMO

Praan Naturals Andean Mint Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves and stems of Minthostachys mollis, a native Peruvian plant. We have sourced this oil from a distiller that is mindful of sustainability concerns and that certifies that the Andean Mint (Minthostachys mollis) is cut in a manner that allows for regrowth of this highly revered plant. It is not uprooted during the harvesting process. Andean Mint Essential Oil is also known as Muna Essential Oil. Andean Mint Essential Oil is a particularly intriguing oil due to its overall composition that includes 28-29% of the ketone pulegone. Overall, it contains 70% ketones. As such, it is a very powerful essential oil that should be used conservatively. We see this essential oil as showing promise in supporting respiratory health. Its properties also make it well suited for aromatic applications intended to support cleanliness. Emotionally, Andean Mint Essential Oil is a stimulating essential oil that is well suited for use in formulations intended to help to ease the feelings of sadness and discouragement and to help invigorate the body, mind and spirit. It can be helpful in promoting mental and emotional focus and concentration. Aromatically, Andean Mint Essential Oil possesses a bright, minty, herbal aroma. It blends well with essential oils within the mint, herbal, wood, conifer, and citrus families. Although Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young does not include an entry for Andean Mint Essential Oil that is steam distilled specifically from Minthostachys mollis, we recommend a dermal maximum of .8% based on our interpretation of component guidelines presented in the book. This percentage serves as a suggestion only, and we strongly recommend referring to Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 to review and confirm safety information based on the intended use of the oil.

Praan Naturals German Chamomile Essential Oil is steam distilled from the flowers of Matricaria recutita. Although this species is widely known as "German Chamomile," it is not exclusive to Germany and grows throughout Europe. The oil is also known as Blue Chamomile Essential Oil due to its very dark, indigo hue. German Chamomile Essential Oil is soothing, calming and supportive for irritated, dry, itchy, mature, damaged and problem skin types. Both Roman and German Chamomile Essential Oils offer anti-inflammatory benefits. However, German Chamomile Essential Oil is often the preferred chamomile species amongst aromatherapists and formulators for use within skin care applications. Aromatically, Praan Naturals German Chamomile Essential Oil is a middle note, and it possesses a fruity, green, floral aroma. Praan Naturals Catnip Essential Oil is steam distilled from the flowering tops of Nepeta cataria, an herbaceous plant that is most well known for its immense appeal to cats. Catnip Essential Oil also offers numerous benefits when used within skin and personal care applications. Catnip Essential Oil is abundant in the lactone know as nepetalactone. Nepetalactone is the constituent responsible for making catnip so appealing to cats. Mosquitos and some other insects absolutely hate nepetalactone and tend to avoid Catnip Essential Oil and products that contain sufficient quantities of it. Catnip Essential Oil is an excellent choice for use within skin and hair care, holistic wellbeing, massage, soap making, fragrancing and cleaning applications intended to support general wellness, digestive and respiratory health and a healthy environment. Aromatically, Catnip Essential Oil is considered a middle note, and it possesses an herbaceous, woody aroma. Alone, it's aroma is not particularly pleasant, but it is an aromatically versatile oil that blends wonderfully with essential oils that are in the wood, mint, resin, herbaceous, spice and citrus families. Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young indicate that there is a low risk of skin sensitization with Catnip Essential Oil, so we recommend diluting it adequately for all topical applications. Below is a summary of the key constituents present within our Catnip Essential Oil: Nepetalactones (including Isonomers): 32.15% Caryophyllene (trans): 59.99%
