The aroma is slightly tart while also being pleasant and sweet and is generally well favored even by those that don't enjoy consuming the fresh fruit itself. Within holistic aromatherapy applications, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil has been used to uplift the spirits and relieve stress. Within skin and hair care applications, it offers astringent properties that help to balance oily skin and hair. It is a useful addition to facial toners. It possesses a longer shelf life than does Clove Bud Essential Oil because the production of the essential oil exposes the oil to a great deal of heat during production. The CO2 extraction process uses virtually no heat and thus allows for a longer shelf life. Clove Bud Select CO2 Extract is wonderful to use year-round, but it is especially lovely for seasonal use during the Autumn and Winter seasons. In addition to its wellness applications, it is wonderful for use in home fragrancing, diffusion and potpourri blends. It is also said to be an aphrodisiac. Clove Bud Select CO2 Extract blends especially well with other CO2 extracts and essential oils in the wood, spice, citrus, floral and herbaceous families. It can be helpful in helping to improve the aroma of blends and formulations that have a "medicinal" or unpleasant scent to them. For topical formulations intended for adults, Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young recommend a dermal maximum of 0.5% for Clove Bud Essential Oil. We believe the same dermal limit holds true for Clove Bud Select CO2 Extract.

Praan Naturals Fractionated Coconut Oil is palm-free. Fractionated Coconut Oil is a light, fluid and stable lipid. It consists primarily of Caprylic and Capric acids, two important medium-chain triglycerides that are naturally present in coconut oil and that are fluid at room temperature. Fractionated Coconut Oil is produced through the distillation and fractionation of virgin coconut oil to isolate the Caprylic and Capric acids as they are both fluid at room temperature. A small percentage of unsaturated fatty acids, including linoleic acid, an omega-6 essential fatty acid and oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid, may also be present in the oil. Fractionated Coconut Oil is sometimes mistakenly referred to as MCT Oil. While both Fractionated Coconut Oil and MCT Oil share some similarities, it is important to recognize that MCT Oil is actually an ester, not an oil. Fractionated Coconut Oil is produced differently and possesses a somewhat different usage profile than products typically known as MCT Oil. Praan Naturals Hops Total CO2 Extract is produced from the cones of Humulus lupus, more commonly known as hops. Hops are most well known for their use in flavoring beer. Hops Total CO2 Extract contains both the volatile and non-volatile CO2 soluble components of hops. CO2 Totals are CO2 Supercritical Extracts that have been extracted at higher pressure than those classified as CO2 Selects. CO2 Totals are believed to most closely represent the natural plant as compared to essential oils and CO2 Selects. Aromatically, Praan Naturals Hops Total CO2 Extract possesses a complex, fresh, green, bittersweet herbal aroma. It is yellowish-brown in color and is semi-soft at room temperature. It contains 38-58% humulones (alpha acids) and 16-30% lupulones (beta acids). Hops Total CO2 Extract is used in perfumery/fragrancing applications, and it is used at low dilutions in deodorants and deodorizing formulations. It is considered to be calming and may help promote sleep.

Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil is steam distilled from the aromatic leaves of Eucalyptus globulus, an aromatic tree that is found in Australia, India and in temperate climates. Aromatically, Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil acts as a top note and possesses a fresh, crisp medicinal aroma. It blends well with peppermint, spearmint, lavender, lemon and other citrus oils and cedarwood and other wood oils. Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil is well suited for use in room diffusion and chest balm types of applications intended to support wellness. In holistic aromatherapy applications, Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil is typically considered to be energizing and uplifting. Is can be used in blends to help promote focus and clarity. Praan Naturals Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil has been rectified to contain 80% 1,8-Cineole (also known as Cineole or as Eucalyptol). According to the third edition of The Complete Guide to Aromatherapy Volume 1 by Salvatore Battaglia, rectification is typical for Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil in order to improve its aroma. Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young recommend avoiding use of Eucalyptus Globulus Essential Oil on or near the face of babies and children. For topical formulations intended for adults, they recommend a dermal maximum of 20%.
