Pratham Stearchem Zinc Stearate is a white colored poweder. It is insoluble in water, but dissolves well in aromatic compounds like benzene and chlorinated hydrocarbons on heating. In fact, zinc stearate repels water (hydrophobic). It is the zinc salt of stearic acid. It is insoluble in alcohol and ethers. It is a very powerful mold resease agent. Zinc stearate does not contain any electrolyte. Zinc stearate is used in the pharmaceutical industry and the cosmetic products like face powder to improve the smoothness and adhesion. It is used in paint industry as a gloss imparting agent and a grinding agent. In plastic and rubber processing, zinc stearate is ued as a releasing agent and lubricant which can be easily incorporated. It is used as as a metal release agent in rubber, polyurethane and polyester processing system.

Pratham Stearchem Calcium Stearate is an insoluble salt of Calcium, and Fatty Acids. Calcium stearate is non-toxic and has many applications as Stabilizer, Lubricant, Water Repellant etc. It is insoluble in water. However, it is slightly soluble when dissolved in hot alcohol, hot vegetable and mineral oil. It shows good solublity in hot pyridine. Calcium Stearate is widely used as a stabilizer for PVC resins and lubricant for plastic molding powders or tablets. Its use is also recommended in emulsions, cements, pencils, construction chemicals, paint flattening agent, resin coated sands and foundry chemicals, anticaking agent in food items and cosmetics. Use of calcium stearate is seen as a lubricating agent in paper and paperboard coating compositions, iron wire drawing and leather cloth manufacturing as well. Pratham Stearchem Magnesium Stearate is a salt that is produced when a magnesium ion bonds with two stearate molecules. Magnesium stearate is most commonly used in supplement manufacturing as a ‘flow agent,’ which helps ensure that the equipment runs smoothly and the ingredients stay blended together in the correct proportions.

Pratham Stearchem Di Basic Lead Stearate is a white powder which finds extensive use in the field of lubricant and stabilizer at high temperatures during PVC processing. This is because Di Basic Lead Stearate has free lead oxide and free fatty acid content. The free lead oxide contributes towards the stability, whereas the free fatty acid helps in lubrication, both working well at high temperatures. Di Basic Lead Stearate finds application in cable manufacturing, PVC processing, calandering operations and extrusions. Due to toxicity, Di Basic Lead Stearate is not used in articles that are likely to come in contact with foodstuff. Normally, Di Basic Lead Stearate is used along with Lead Stearate and Tri Basic Lead Sulfate.

Pratham Stearchem Tri Basic lead Sulfate is a white colored powder. It is the aluminum salt of stearic acid. It is insoluble in water, alcohol and ether. However, it is soluble in glycol, alkali, BTX, chlorinated hyrdocarbons. It dissolves well in vegetable oils on heating and if high concentration is used, on cooling gelling is seen. Aluminum Stearate is used as an emulsifier in cosmetics. It is also used as lubricant in polyamides and in thermosetting of plastics. Its use as a water repellent agent and hydrophobic agent makes it useful to be used as a waterproofing agent in paint industry. Aluminum stearate is used as thickening agent in production of varnishes and lacquers. It also finds use as an anticaking agent in petroleum products.

Pratham Stearchem Tri Basic lead Sulfate is a white powder which finds extensive use as a stabilizer at high temperatures during PVC processing. The applications of TBLS include rigid PVC processing, manufacturing of cables and extrusions and calendaring operations. It is also used as stabilizer in extruded, calandered &amp; molded PVC products. However, Tri Basic Lead Sulfate lacks lubricating property, and hence it is usually used along with a lubricating substance, mostly Calcium Stearate, Di Basic Lead Stearate or Lead Stearate. However, due to toxicity, Tri Basic Lead Sulfate is not used in articles that are likely to come in contact with foodstuff.

Pratham Stearchem Tri Basic lead Sulphate

Pratham Stearchem Sodium Stearate is the sodium salt of stearic acid. This white solid is the most common soap. It is found in many types of solid deodorants, rubbers, latex paints, and inks. It is also a component of some food additives and food flavorings. Sodium stearate comprises of a long hydrocarbon 'tail' and a carboxylic acid 'head' group. Of the two parts, the tail part has affinity for oils and head part has affinity for water.. The tail is basically an alkane, and so readily dissolves in fat, oil and grease, but not in water. The head-group however is polar, and so easily dissolves in water (hydrophilic - water-loving) and will not dissolve in oil or grease. Hence during any cleaning operation such as Dish Washing, Bathing or Laundry etc, the tail attaches itself to the oil droplets, and removes them from the dirty objects (dishes, clothes or body) collects together into clumps and washes down the drain.
