Preparation:
Combine phase A in a main kettle and heat to 78-80°C.
Combine phase B in a separate vessel and heat to 78-80°C.
Slowly add phase B to phase A with prop mixing (medium-high speed,
78-80°C) Continue mixing for 3-5 minutes or until batch is homogeneous.
Slowly add phase C to combined phase AB, continue mixing for additional
1-3 minutes or until batch is homogeneous.
Cool batch with prop mixing (low speed, 35°C).
Check pH, adjust to 4-7 using NaOh (18%) solution.
At 35°C, add Phase E in the listed order to batch and prop mix
(low speed) for 2-3 minutes or until batch homogeneous.
Cool batch to 25°C.
Notes:
Properties
Appearance: Semi-solid white emulsion.
Odour: Characteristic.
pH: 5.5-7
Viscosity (LVT#4 @12 rpm): 40,000 – 80,000 cps
