Preparation:
Procedure
In a vessel, add Dermolane and Nikkomulese 41 BPC and heat to 80°C.
Then add half of the Coverleaf AR-80. Mix well and maintain temperature
of 80°C. (If needed roller mill this phase). In a separate vessel, which will
be the main vessel, add water from Phase B. Pre-mix Butylene glycol and
Methyparaben and heat to 70-75°C or until premix is clear. Once uniform,
add to the water. Mix until uniform and heat to 80°C. Homogenize Phase A
into Phase B. Once uniform, add the remaining half of Coverleaf.
Homogenize until uniform. In two separate vessels, make 1% Carbopol
solution and 2% Xanthan gum solution. Take the appropriate amounts for
the batch and add Triethanolamine. Mix until uniform. This is phase C. Add
Phase C to Phase A and B and mix with propeller mixing. Mix until uniform.
Cool batch to 25°C.
