Preparation:
1. Charge deionized water in a suitable kettle. Start mixing.
2. Sprinkle in Carbopol little at a time while mixing at a higher speed.
3. Mix until evenly disperse. Add the rest of the material of Phase A.
Mix well, every each material addition.
4. Start heating the batch to 70° – 75°C.
5. Combine Phase B materials in a separate kettle.
6. Start heating while mixing well at 70°C – 75°C.
7. Add Phase B to Phase A, when both are at the same
temperature.
8. Mix for at least 10 minutes. Switch to paddle mixing;
add the premixed Phase C to the batch.
Start cooling to 45°C.
9. Add Phase D one at a time. Mix well every each addition.
Add Phase E to the batch. Mix well until room temperature
is reach. Fill appropriate containers.
