Preparation:
Procedure
1. In a suitable kettle, slowly add xanthan gum into the vortex of
water, using a low shear agitation. Disperse completely.
2. Pre-mix the remaining powder ingredients of Phase A in a blender
type until the colour pigments are completely dispersed.
3. Start heating the batch to 60°–70°C.
Then add the pre-mixed pigments and the remaining ingredients
of Phase A into the batch.
4. Mix well every each ingredient addition. Hold the temperature
while the batch is constantly mixing.
5. After ten minutes of mixing, pass Phase A into homomixer and
homogenize the batch for 5 minutes or until uniformly dispersed.
6. Change the mixing into propeller mixing and bring up the
temperature to 80°–84°C.
7. In a separate kettle, combine Phase B materials
and heat to 80°–84°C.
8. When both Phases are at the same temperature,
add Phase B to Phase A applying moderate agitation.
9. Start cooling at 45°–40°C.
Add the premixed Phase C into the batch.
10. Continue mixing until it reaches to 35°–30°C.
11. Pour into appropriate containers.
