PROMEX™ OIT14 is highly suitable for the preservation of a wide variety of industrial products including surface coatings, adhesives, pigments, metal working fluids and other industrial products. Able to provide both in-can and dry film protection and may be used in conjunction with other industrial biocides such as PROMEX™ BIT to give cost effective broad spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi. It shows highest efficacy and stability in a wide pH range of pH 4 - 12. Use levels of PROMEX™OIT14 normally range from 0.05 - 0.15% (in-can applications) and 0.3-0.8% (dry film applications), based on total finished weight of product.
Experience shows that compatibility with most products and raw materials is excellent, although compatibility testing and determination of most effective use concentrations is recommended.
