Promi-Sal® Extra

1 of 2 products in this brand
Promi-Sal® Extra is a product that favors the proper functioning of the soil for optimal crop development. In saline soils, Promi-Sal® Extra improves the washing of chemical elements that are in excess, the availability of nutrients and water and the structure of the soil. In high productivity fertigation systems, it prevents the excessive accumulation of fertilizer salts in the root zone, and therefore, nutritional and water absorption problems. In farms irrigated with saline waters, it prevents soil salinization problems. In soils with low organic matter content, it improves soil structure, water retention and nutrient availability.

Features & Benefits

Product Highlights

An evolution of Promi-Sal®.

It is a product even richer in organic acids and calcium. These organic acids contain a large number of carboxylic groups, which act as carriers for exchangeable calcium ions. When these soluble organic acids reach the soil, they exert their action by replacing calcium with sodium in the colloid.

In addition, Promi-Sal® Estra favors soil flocculation, counteracting the dispersive effect of sodium ions. This property is explained by the high electrical polarity of organic acids: the negative charges on the surface of the clay particles are attracted to the positive poles of the acids, creating stable aggregates. Between those aggregates, roots, air, and water can easily penetrate, giving the soil a suitable structure for high-yield agricultural production.

The dose of the product must be calculated from a soil analysis. When they are not available, the dose is decided according to the following diagnostic criteria: water infiltration problems, cracked soil when dry, decreased germination or vigor, and presence of salt stains.

Applications & Uses

Application Technique
Instructions for Use & Application
  • Improvement of saline-sodic soils: Make 2 to 4 applications per crop cycle at a rate of 40-80 l/ha (localized irrigation) or 75-150 l/ha (total coverage or blanket).
  • Improvement of the structure of the wet bulb: Make 1 to 3 applications per crop cycle at a rate of 10-20 l/ha (localized irrigation).
  • Improvement of saline waters: Apply at a rate of 15-50 ml/m 3 of water.

Note: These recommendations are of a general and indicative nature, and must be adapted by a qualified technician based on agronomic and edaphoclimatic factors.
