Application
  • ACTIRON® DBT is a catalyst in powder form specially adapted for help the cross-linking of polyester and polyurethane powder coating based on aliphatic isocyanate, especially uretdione ones.
  • ACTIRON® DBT acts as polymerization accelerator and therefore allows to lower the curing temperature of the powder coating and increase the surface hardness without introducing yellowing during the cure phase.
  • ACTIRON® DBT the powdered dispersion, avoids the surface problems which arise when the catalyst is used as a liquid and is poorly dispersed within the mass, such as over-catalyzed areas.
Method of Use and Recommended Levels
  • ACTIRON® DBT is supplied as free-flowing powder with uniformly-sized particles. Therefore is very easy to incorporate it in the mixture of powders at the time of pre-homogenization.
  • Addition amount: 0,1- 2 % on binder and cross-linker.
